Relationships Are Important April 5th, 2012 by Bill Boyajian |
Relationships are vital to the integrity of any business, and they are integral to maintaining and enhancing your leadership. Leaders with charisma have a special quality with people. They know how to work with different personalities to help others achieve success. The key to building lasting relationships is to focus on what you can do for others, not what they can do for you. Instead of viewing people as a means to an end, start viewing people as the end product of your leadership. When you pour your life into people, they become instruments of success — yours and their own. They will love you for it, and your leadership will flourish. One of my close friends has an ability to form relationships with a wide variety of people. He’s particularly good at connecting with people regarded by others as being a little peculiar, difficult to get along with, or somewhat controversial. These people seem to have little to offer others, but my friend says that some of the greatest minds he’s ever encountered fit in one of those three categories. When you can formulate high-quality relationships with bright people others disregard, you have a huge advantage over your competition. Remember, you’re not creating a connection to get something out of someone. You’re forming a relationship that can benefit you both. Connect with people, make them a priority, and put others first. Your confidence is just enough to create a distinctive following. “I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
