November Newsletter November 5th, 2012 by Bill Boyajian |
We’re quickly approaching the close of the year. I hope you enjoyed my October Newsletter. This month follows suit in a similar format. There are five short articles below which you can click through to read….. How are you doing in your leadership? On October 8th I gave a day-long presentation for the Experienced Leaders Program of the Swarovski Leadership Academy in Zurich, Switzerland. 14 top Swarovski directors from around the world attended the program… Want a quick lesson on how to counsel an employee in need of some instruction? Here’s a five-step formula that works: What’s the difference between leadership and management? Leadership is an art, management is a science. Leadership moves people, management moves process….. Having trouble remembering names? Try this: Facing a difficult decision or even a crisis? Sometimes we try to over-analyze things, but more often we come up short on having the necessary information to make a good decision. What happens then? Here are a few more business and life tips to think about: Business Tips • Procrastinating with the hope that a sticky issue will just go away usually makes it worse. Deal with things that cross your desk. • If you learn to take on more responsibility, you have a much better chance of earning peoples’ respect and your own authority. • Make your service so good that the value of what you do becomes absolutely indispensable to your customers. Life Tips • Don’t take short-cuts that diminish your reputation for some fleeting gratification. The choices you make impact a long life. • Character matters. Look for a person’s actions. Don’t be fooled by talk. Character is evidenced by the fruits of what we do. • Trust is built when corners could be cut, but aren’t, and when twisting the truth could be done when no one would know. “I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
