Kindness

They say in life that the older we get, the more we value kindness. But we don’t have to wait until we’re old to practice it.

Here are some simple but profound ways we can show kindness to others:

  • Build Relationships, not a set of rules. Don’t keep score on who’s nicer. Focus on creating a relationship that overlooks petty issues and builds lasting synergy.
  • Practice patience with people’s peculiarities. We all have quirks. Yes, even you. Learn to accept people’s oddities in personality. And don’t judge.
  • Go the extra mile with someone in need. It doesn’t take much to make a difference in someone’s life. And you’ll feel better about yourself, too.
  • Turn the other cheek. People are going to critique or even offend you. You don’t have to be a doormat that people walk on, but control your emotions and keep a high level of maturity.
  • Give people a second chance. It’s hard, but everyone makes mistakes. As long as people are sincere and accept their consequences, cut them some slack and give them another shot.

See, that wasn’t so hard. Focus on one of these each weekday. It will make a difference.

Here are a few Business & Life Tips to think about…..

Business Tips:

  • Don’t run toward money. Run toward a challenge and an opportunity to grow. Money will follow when you do a great job.
  • Word of mouth advertising and goodwill are so important to your business that you should never argue a point with your customer.
  • Be flexible in your initial business idea. The market may lead you in related, but different directions. Listen to the marketplace.

Life Tips:

  • A lack of humility leads to pride. Pride causes us to look down on others and keeps us from having an open mind and heart.
  • Our world is becoming more and more “purpose driven.” Finding purpose in business and in life is a great objective to shoot for.
  • When friends are in pain, lighten their load by sharing that pain. Likewise, increase their joy when they are joyful. Be a friend.

“I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
