Solutions for Feeling Down
September 24th, 2020
by Bill Boyajian

There’s a lot going on in the world today that gets all of us a little down and out. Here are some solutions to get out of the doldrums:

  • Stay informed, but don’t obsess about watching every newscast. Most news in negative and depressing.
  • Socialize as you are able, and not just with technology. Getting out once a week or so for outdoor dining can make a huge difference in your mindset.
  • Double down on your hobbies. Golf and my garden help keep me sane.
  • Attack the stack of books that has been building on your reading list. When have you ever had the time you have now?
  • Reach out to friends or relatives you haven’t seen in a while. It’s amazing what a call or text or email or letter can do for both of you.
  • Find someone or something that needs help, and do your part. You’ll feel great about it, as will the recipient.
  • Be grateful for what you have, and what you don’t have. Some people may be better off than you, but there are many others who aren’t.
  • Take some time to find your own inner peace. It’s the one thing that no one can take from you.

“I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
