Ten Rules for Using Time
March 29th, 2021
by Bill Boyajian

1) You have the same 24 hours as the rest of us, so stop saying you don’t have time. It’s how you choose to use time that matters.

2) If you’re a leader or manager, focus on doing those things that only you can do. Delegate everything else to gain more time.

3) Worrying eats up a lot of wasted time and energy. Seldom does the object of our worry actually happen. Even if it does, the worry certainly didn’t help.

4) We never seem to have enough spare time because we fill our day with minutia that eats up all our time.

5) Cutting back on sleep is a poor way to gain more time. Go to bed earlier. You don’t get much done late at night anyway.

6) If you spend more time thinking, it will result in more doing. Just find the right balance.

7) A wise use of your time is the wisest thing you can do.

8) If you want to lose weight, write down everything you eat. If you want to gain more time, write down everything you do in a day.

9) Now that you have more time, fill it with something you always wanted to do but never had the time to do it.

10) Use your time like you’ll never have it again….because you won’t. And there it goes again, time after time.

“I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
