What is Work? March 22nd, 2013 by Bill Boyajian |
Work is what we do to earn money – to make a living. But more than that, work becomes a reflection of who we are and how we think. It is also emblematic of who we work for. Often, we work harder and with a more serious and conscientious attitude when we respect our boss, our leader. No respect means no loyalty. No loyalty means no real care. No care means a lot of heart-broken people searching for something, or someone, to believe in, to follow. Some people are fortunate to work for a great brand name: IBM, BMW, Nike, Coca-Cola. All names that represent a time-tested brand. But others work for smaller companies with little stature or clout. Yet if they work for a great leader, a person they respect and enjoy, that individual IS the company, and that is often enough. When you work for someone you respect, the work you do becomes a reflection of who you are, and who you take direction from. If you’re lazy at work, you’re bored inside. If you’re tired at work, you’re tired inside. Every job has meaning and purpose. But it is up to every individual to find meaning and purpose in work and to find joy in doing so from within. How we work becomes a kind of template or mirror of who we are on the inside. The attitude we have and the impact we make on others is a reflection of our viewpoint of the work we do. Work is good. I hope you enjoy it. Tags: Advice, Determination, Developing Leaders, happiness, life, Life Tips, Personal Development |

“I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
