What Makes a Leader So Attractive? March 22nd, 2012 by Bill Boyajian |
Simply stated, leaders with charisma draw people like a magnet. They have boundless energy and eternal optimism, which intrigues and ignites followers. Charismatic leaders exude confidence and provide hope. They have passion for what they do, and this spills over into relationships. Here they thrive because they love people. And people love them. There is an emotional bond between the leader and those led. Charismatic leaders have vision for what lies ahead. They make work — or anything, for that matter — exciting. Surely you know people who are so attractive in personality, temperament, and character that you love to be around them. They just seem to enjoy life more than most. They share words of encouragement and carry an air of success. It’s not overconfidence. It’s an infectious, positive outlook that attracts people and then, seemingly without effort, holds their attention. Theirs is a hopeful, believable confidence that people want to follow. Charismatic leaders are willing to give time to others. They let people into their lives, and in the process, help to transform them. They seem to have almost magical qualities. People feed off their natural attractiveness and stand in awe of both their genuineness and generosity to others. But charismatic leaders aren’t revered just because they have great social skills. You can be charismatic without being an outgoing “cheerleader.” A calm confidence can work just as well to inspire followers. As a leader, then, are you attractive to your followers? “I needed help orchestrating a succession plan for our business. I had heard that Bill Boyajian specialized in assisting owners to transition their business to the next generation. He knows how to bridge the generation gap and deliver what each needs to hear. I would recommend Bill to any business owner who needs advice on succession planning from a trusted outside professional.”

"Our family needed some guidance on business transition and succession planning. We asked Bill Boyajian to help us because we knew we could trust him to tell us what we needed to hear. Bill became a valuable resource for our company and our entire family. He has the ability to meet each of us where we’re at and it has served us very well."

“We needed a plan to transition our business to a non-family member and we asked Bill Boyajian to help us. His experience in the area has really paid off, but we didn’t expect the added value of putting us together with a financial planner who helped organize our retirement needs. We now have the fundamentals to transition our business successfully, and we have Bill to thank for it.”
